The 347 R ROUSH Crate Engines are high-performance engines based on designs from the 1960s and later, but they produce significantly more power and torque than the originals. Because of this, they may operate differently, and certain characteristics are not covered under the ROUSH 2yr/24,000mi Crate Engine Limited Warranty. The installer or end user is responsible for selecting and optimizing supporting vehicle systems, including cooling, airflow, A/C performance, and suitability for the intended environment. These engines may have rougher idle, increased mechanical noise, higher oil and fuel consumption, and greater heat output. Power may vary by ±2%, and some configurations may only be legal for emissions-exempt applications.
